In essence, magic is the use and direction of energy for an intended purpose. All magical spells are driven by intent, which is a verbally stated intended goal, and all spells are powered by energy, the mental and allied energies that are utilized.
Magic always works in harmony with Nature because magic is based on the use of energy and energy is part of Nature. Therefore, magic is subject to the laws of physics. Magic can succeed only when there is a physical possibility of success. It is incorrect to think of magic as "supernatural."
Trad Crafters (witches) will often use friendly spirits and possibly a "familiar" spirit to aid and help in their magical workings.
