A pentacle is a five-pointed star (a pentagram) within a circle. The terms pentacle and pentagram are sometimes used synonymously, or interchangeably.

The pentacle resonates with many of today's Neo-Pagans, Wiccans and many Traditional Witches as a meaningful spiritual symbol of their spirituality or of witchcraft. Please see pentagram for an important discussion on the history of the pentagram.
