The belief in more than one god, of which one is superior. Some Pagan groups such as Wicca subscribes to a Henotheistic religious structure in its acknowledgement of the gods and goddesses of so many civilizations, while reserving the position of supreme authority to "The One."

Henotheism is considered by some to be a cross between monotheism and polytheism. It is monotheistic in that the essential unity and authority of one supreme god is recognized, while manifesting in the multiple diversity of polytheism's multiple gods.
